
In a recent update, Lupin Limited, a prominent global pharmaceutical company, has announced the appointment of Rakesh Bhardwaj as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Rakesh, who will be operating from Mumbai, is set to oversee the company’s global IT operations and spearhead its digital transformation initiatives.
With over 30 years of experience developing and managing advanced global IT teams and systems, Rakesh comes to Lupin after a notable tenure as the Group CIO of Ola. His career also boasts senior roles at leading organisations such as Cognizant, Microland, General Electric, and BISIL. He is a graduate of Computer Science Engineering from Gulbarga University, Karnataka.

Ramesh Swaminathan, Executive Director, Global CFO, and Head of Corporate Affairs at Lupin, commented on this significant appointment, highlighting the pivotal role of IT in pushing the boundaries and enhancing the company’s stature as a global pharmaceutical leader.
