Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has named experienced technology executive Gopi Thangavel as its new Group Chief Information Officer (CIO). With over 20 years in IT and digital strategy across varied sectors, Gopi brings extensive expertise to the role.

In his new position, Gopi will lead L&T’s digital transformation initiatives, concentrating on operational efficiency, technology adoption, cybersecurity, and strategic IT alignment with business objectives. Previously, as Senior Vice President at Reliance Industries Limited, he played a crucial role in deploying strategic IT solutions and managing complex IT infrastructure and security operations.

Gopi’s vision and industry insights are set to be instrumental as L&T continues its evolution into a tech-driven enterprise.
