IBM and Yotta Data Services have announced plans to build a sovereign agentic AI platform for enterprises and government organisations in India.

The platform will combine IBM’s watsonx Orchestrate with Yotta’s Shakti Cloud infrastructure.

It is intended to help organisations scale AI adoption while addressing requirements around data residency, governance, security, and regulatory compliance.

According to the announcement, the platform will enable enterprises to deploy and manage AI agents across functions including IT service management, HR, finance, procurement, and customer support.

As part of the collaboration, IBM and Yotta also plan to bring IBM Sovereign Core to India through Yotta’s Shakti Cloud infrastructure.

IBM Sovereign Core is designed to help organisations build AI-ready sovereign environments with compliance monitoring, governed AI execution, and operational control capabilities.
