Hyderabad’s TakeMe2Space Raises ₹5.5 Crore to Build India’s First Space Data Centre By cioNetworks - 08 January 2026

TakeMe2Space

Hyderabad-based TakeMe2Space has raised ₹5.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Seafund, with participation from investors including Blume Ventures, Artha Venture Fund, and AC Ventures. This investment marks a major milestone as the company prepares to launch MOI-1, India’s first AI laboratory in space.

Founded in 2024 by Ronak Kumar Samantray, the startup aims to tackle data processing challenges in orbit, enabling researchers, commercial enterprises, and educational institutions to access space-based AI capabilities affordably. By using proprietary radiation shielding, TakeMe2Space can integrate standard terrestrial hardware into satellites, significantly lowering costs.

TakeMe2Space has already completed two successful space missions in collaboration with ISRO’s PSLV Orbital Experiment Platform, where it demonstrated a novel radiation shielding coat. In the past year, the company has grown to over 17 team members and built over 15 satellite sensors and subsystems.

The company plans to provide 15+ early customers with seamless satellite-based applications and is focusing on expanding its satellite subsystems adoption in India, Australia, and Europe. Over the next 12 months, TakeMe2Space expects to double its revenues.

The AI-inference satellites are a stepping stone for their ultimate plan of launching a data centre in space—a large unit with the ability to process millions of units of data, reducing Earth’s energy consumption burden while democratizing access to space technology.
