
Google has announced Preeti Lobana as its new Country Manager and Vice President for India. Lobana has worked at Google for eight years as vice president of customer-centric solutions. She will now lead Google India’s sales and operations. She will focus on using AI to serve customers and support innovation.
Sanjay Gupta, President of Asia-Pacific at Google, informed that India’s digital space inspires Google and AI will bring new possibilities. He further added that Preeti will help strengthen our work in India and her focus on customer solutions has supported businesses across industries.

“Preeti’s leadership will be instrumental as we deepen our engagement with India’s unique ecosystem, leveraging AI advancements like Gemini 2.0 to accelerate digital inclusion and unlock unprecedented economic opportunities for every Indian,” Gupta said.

Gupta also mentioned Roma Datta Chobey, who was the Interim Country Manager. Roma will now continue as Managing Director for Digital Native Industries. He said Roma’s experience in e-commerce, fintech, gaming, and media will help Google drive growth in these areas.

Lobana stated that she has seen how the internet helps businesses grow, and she believes with Google’s technology and India’s energy, AI can open new opportunities.
Lobana has over 30 years of experience in the technology and financial industries. At Google, she was Vice President for gTech, where she managed global teams and developed ad solutions. Before joining Google, she worked at NatWest Group, American Express, Standard Chartered Bank, and ANZ Grindlays Bank, focusing on business strategy, product management, and operations.
