Genpact has acquired XponentL Data, a firm known for its advanced AI and data solutions, as part of its strategic push towards AI-driven services. The acquisition, finalised on June 5, enhances Genpact’s ability to deliver end-to-end AI and data transformation across industries.

By integrating XponentL’s deep expertise in data strategy, engineering, and design, Genpact aims to expand its offerings across consulting, platform implementation, and sector-specific AI applications. XponentL also brings valuable partnerships with major cloud and data platforms, including AWS, Microsoft, and Databricks.

According to Genpact President and CEO BK Kalra, the move underscores the importance of data as a foundation for scaling AI. “Companies that leverage AI at speed and scale will define the future. XponentL’s IP significantly boosts our ability to help clients maximise their data potential,” Kalra stated.

XponentL’s work spans life sciences, healthcare, and enterprise AI, aligning with Genpact’s initiatives like SaaS and its AI Gigafactory. These efforts aim to enable clients to operationalise AI quickly and effectively.

Tom Johnstone, founder of XponentL, will continue to lead the business, highlighting shared values and a vision to elevate how clients unlock data value. Michael Hartman, SVP at Databricks, described the acquisition as a powerful blend of innovation and enterprise scale, citing XponentL’s success with intelligent agents and modern architecture on the Databricks platform.

All XponentL employees will transition to Genpact as part of the deal. Financial terms were not made public.
