First Citizens India, the global capability center (GCC) of First Citizens BancShares, has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art facility in Bengaluru, signaling a major step forward in the bank’s global growth strategy. The expansion deepens the organization’s operational footprint in India and underlines its focus on digital transformation and talent development.
As one of the top 20 banks in the U.S. with over $200 billion in assets and 17,000+ employees worldwide, First Citizens is investing heavily in its India operations. The Bengaluru GCC will play a vital role in powering core enterprise functions such as technology, cybersecurity, finance, credit operations, and risk management.
Jeff Ward, Chief Strategy Officer of First Citizens Bank, emphasised the importance of India in the bank’s global roadmap, citing Bengaluru’s deep talent pool as a key advantage. “This move aligns with our long-term vision to drive innovation, agility, and efficiency across the enterprise,” he said during the launch.
Satya Prakash Ranjan, Country Head & Head of Technology at First Citizens India, highlighted that the new facility provides the flexibility and scale needed to modernize the bank’s tech platforms. “This workspace enables our teams to build enterprise-grade solutions that support the bank’s evolving needs,” he added.
