F5 and Intel have formed a collaboration, combining F5’s top-tier security and traffic management and Intel’s cutting-edge AI optimisation tools, to improve the security and delivery of AI services.

NGINX Plus by F5 provides traffic management and security features. It adds an extra layer of security by managing traffic, ensuring availability, and providing encryption, all without sacrificing performance.

Intel’s OpenVINO toolkit optimises and accelerates AI model processing from various frameworks, making it easier to deploy them across different environments with minimal code changes. The  Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) further enhance performance by offloading infrastructure tasks from the main CPU, freeing up resources for AI model servers.

The combination enables superior protection, scalability, and performance for AI-driven applications, and increases the scalability and efficiency of both NGINX Plus and OpenVINO Model Servers (OVMS).

This integrated solution is beneficial for edge applications like video analytics and IoT, where low latency and high performance are essential. The solution ensures quick and reliable responses by running NGINX Plus on Intel IPUs, making it ideal for content delivery and distributed services.
