Delhivery, India’s logistics service provider, has appointed Vani Venkatesh as its Chief Business Officer (CBO), effective February 28.

Vani brings extensive leadership experience, having previously served as the Global CEO at Airtel. Over her eight-year tenure at the telecom giant, she held multiple leadership roles, including CEO of the Delhi NCR region (March 2019 – September 2022) and CEO of Airtel’s Global Business (September 2022 – February 2024). She has also worked at Abbott Nutrition, McKinsey & Company, and Hindustan Unilever.

In her new role at Delhivery, Vani will oversee key business units, including the core transportation segments (Express Parcel & Part-Truckload) and the Supply Chain Services division. Additionally, she will be responsible for client servicing and marketing functions.

Her appointment follows the exit of Sandeep Kumar Barasia, the company’s previous CBO, who resigned in May 2023, with his departure effective from July 1. Sandeep played a pivotal role in Delhivery’s IPO and spearheaded its expansion into Supply Chain Services, Truck Load, and Cross-Border Logistics, diversifying the company’s revenue streams.
