Cohesity announced the release of SmartFiles on the Snowflake Data Cloud. Coherence SmartFiles is a multiprotocol file and object solution for the enterprise that is software-defined, data-centric, enterprise-class, and beyond.

According to Kit Beall, Chief Revenue Officer at Cohesity, Cohesity and Snowflake are collaborating to allow organisations to take advantage of their analytics capabilities without having to move their data to the cloud for analysis. This is accomplished by accessing the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Joint customers have the option to store their data locally or in the cloud with Cohesity SmartFiles, and they can leverage Snowflake’s analytics features. According to him, this integration complies with internal regulations while providing clients with greater access and choice.

Cohesity SmartFiles will also improve Snowflake Data Cloud by enabling safe access to local data records and incorporating on-premises repositories. Additionally, it provides a safe environment for grouping application data, enhancing storage effectiveness, and lowering total ownership expenses for regional Snowflake repositories.

Through this partnership, Snowflake and Cohesity’s joint customers may optimize the cost, scale, and efficiency of their Snowflake data while maximizing its value.

With the top enterprise Linux platform in the world, Cohesity leverages Red Hat’s hardened technology, support knowledge, and domain-specific expertise to manage operating system maintenance, freeing up its experts to concentrate on improving and innovating the Cohesity Data Cloud’s user experience.
