Cognizant Technology Services (CTS) has appointed Sailaja Josyula and Archana Ramanakumar to significant leadership positions in India, making a total of six appointments for female executives across the organization’s global hierarchy. These senior vice president (SVP) appointments came about through internal promotions or new hires.

Josyula, who oversaw global delivery for Cognizant’s banking and financial services practice, has been elevated to the position of SVP, intuitive operations and automation, with responsibility for both global delivery and the commercial markets in North America. She is also the Center Head in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is Cognizant’s second-largest delivery center, with more than 56,000 workers.

Archana Ramanakumar, another executive, has been promoted to SVP of Industry Solutions Group (ISG). Ramanakumar left Cognizant in 2020 and returned on July 5 after gaining significant work experience at LTI and LTI Mindtree. Ramanakumar continues the legacy she started when she first joined Cognizant in 1996, the company said, in addition to bringing a wealth of outside experience to her current position.

Elisa de Rocca-Serra, who began working for the organization in 2021, has also received a promotion to SVP, EMEA General Counsel, and Contract Lifecycle Risk Management (CLRM). In her newly expanded role, she is now responsible for improving operational and financial outcomes by managing commercial risk throughout the entire client contract lifecycle.

Having been hired in 2000, Thea Hayden is currently the SVP, Global Marketing. Additionally, Patricia Hunter-Dennehy was elevated to SVP of the healthcare provider/payor business unit. Due to the purchase of TriZetto in 2015, Hunter-Dennehy joined Cognizant.

On July 17, the business also appointed Sandra Natardonato as SVP, Partnerships and Alliances. Natardonato spent 15 years as a senior equity analyst at Gartner and 11 years at other professional services firms before joining Cognizant.

We should all celebrate these announcements, said Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S, who joined the company in January. The advancement of diversity must be systemic and integrated into every aspect of our operations, beginning with how we find, attract, and develop talent.

The first-quarter net profit for Cognizant rose by 3% to $580 million. The revenue for the three months ending in March 2023 decreased by 0.3% from the same period last year to $4.81 billion.
