Bartronics India and PTW Group Partner to Strengthen Semiconductor Sector By Elets News Network - 09 January 2025

Fintech and technology solutions provider, Bartronics India Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore’s PTW Group. The partnership will see to the creation of facilities in India for production, refurbishing equipment, and training workers. It includes research and development, manufacturing, skill training, and building international partnerships. The agreement was signed in Hyderabad after discussions with the Minister of Information and Technology of Telangana.

PTW Group operates in many countries and refurbishes semiconductor equipment. It supplies to more than 700 fabs globally, including TSMC, UMC, Samsung, and Texas Instruments. PTW’s expertise aligns with India’s plans to grow its semiconductor sector and develop its own manufacturing capabilities.

Torsten Seifried, Managing Director of PTW Group, said the partnership will help the company learn about the Indian market and support new fabs in the country. In the future, the group plans to make India a key centre for its global operations in development, production, and refurbishing.

N. Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director of Bartronics India, said the partnership will bring new technologies to India, create opportunities for manufacturing and training, and support research and development. These efforts aim to improve India’s role in the global semiconductor sector.
