The Government of Andhra Pradesh has partnered with B2B technology firm Calibo to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) innovation and build a strong pipeline of AI-ready talent across the state. The collaboration aims to strengthen AI adoption through industry-aligned education, research, and real-world experimentation.
As part of the partnership, Calibo AI Academy will be launched in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). The programme will introduce applied AI learning pathways, updated curriculum frameworks, and faculty development initiatives across more than 50 higher education institutions in the state.
In addition, the government will establish an AI Innovation Sandbox with the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS). This secure environment will allow institutions and public-sector teams to design, develop, and test AI solutions before deploying them in real-world systems. The sandbox will support the entire lifecycle of AI use cases—from problem definition and model development to pilot validation and impact evaluation.

The initiative aims to improve employability by giving students and faculty access to hands-on learning through real industry and government use cases. It will also encourage institutions to develop innovation hubs where AI solutions can be prototyped and tested.
Officials say the partnership aligns with the IndiaAI Mission and reflects Andhra Pradesh’s broader ambition to become a major hub for AI-driven innovation, governance solutions, and technology-led economic growth.
