CarTrade Tech has announced that Amit Kumar will soon depart from his position as Managing Director and CEO of OLX India (Sobek Auto India Private Limited). Amit, who has served in leadership roles at OLX since 2017, will conclude his tenure on January 31, 2025.

Under Amit’s stewardship, OLX India successfully transitioned into the CarTrade Group following its acquisition in July 2023 for Rs 537 crore. The integration process, which Amit oversaw for approximately 18 months, resulted in OLX India achieving profitability and adopting CarTrade’s operational philosophy.

OLX India’s Chairman Vinay Sanghi will manage the leadership transition in collaboration with the existing management team. In his farewell message to CarTrade Group members, Kumar reflected positively on his tenure, highlighting the successful stabilization of the company and its achievement of profitability targets.
