Airbus has named Annapurna Vishwanathan as the new Vice President and Head of Information Management & Digital for India and South Asia. With nearly two decades of expertise in technology management, software development, and digital transformation, she has a strong track record of driving innovation across global enterprises.

Vishwanathan previously led digital initiatives at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) India and spent over a decade at GE Digital, where she played a crucial role in shaping the company’s digital strategy in India. During her tenure at Cummins India, a Fortune 500 company, she spearheaded a major digital transformation, modernising operations and driving full-scale digitisation.

In her new role at Airbus, she will be responsible for strengthening IT frameworks that support business operations across the region. Vishwanathan, an IIT Delhi graduate and Six Sigma-certified professional, has received industry accolades, including “CIO of the Year” in industrial manufacturing and recognition as a leading CIO by CII.

Meanwhile, Airbus Ventures, the company’s investment arm, has made a strategic investment in Featherless.ai, a cutting-edge firm specializing in serverless AI platforms. The startup’s technology enhances GPU efficiency, minimizes downtime, and reduces operational costs, making AI services more accessible and cost-effective.
