Adobe has appointed Shamik Basu as Vice President, Creative Products Group in India, strengthening its leadership as the company deepens its focus on AI-driven creative technologies and innovation in the country.
Based in Noida, Basu will lead Adobe India’s engineering and product management teams and will be part of the company’s India leadership team. He will report to Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer, Creative Products Group.

In his new role, he will work closely with global teams on flagship products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Firefly, further strengthening India’s contribution to Adobe’s global innovation pipeline.

Basu joins Adobe after a career spanning over three decades in building large-scale software platforms. Most recently, he was with Microsoft, where he led initiatives focused on performance, reliability, and AI-powered user experiences for millions of users worldwide.
Adobe highlighted that India continues to be a strategic hub for innovation, with over 8,000 employees contributing significantly to the company’s global product development and AI initiatives.
The appointment reflects Adobe’s continued investment in India as a key market for advancing creator-first, AI-enabled digital experiences at scale.
